November 2014, Founder Mariela Reyes took a leap of faith, and left her position of 20+ years to open the doors of A-Mari-Mix, Fresh Mex Fusion- a concept based on authentic Mexican food with Cuban flare, incorporating homemade seasonal ice cream and cocktails.

Driven by a passion for cooking quality food, and a shortage of authentic Mexican flavor in the South West Miami-Dade area, Mariela sought out to provide guests with an innovative concept that consistently puts out a tasteful take on classic items. With the help of daughter and Front of House manager, Vanessa Perez, the mother-daughter dynamic duo has created an environment that feels like home with a menu that’s nostalgic and anything short of freshness and flavor. In its 7 years, A-Mari-Mix has been awarded “Best Tacos in Florida” by the Florida Palette, “Best Burrito in Florida” by the New Times and participated in SOBE WFF!
