Taqueria El 5 de Mayo is a small family business that has been around for over 8 years. Our family business has been in Chicago for 20+ years.
Our fantastic and humble little place Taqueria El 5 de Mayo on Montrose and Western, is owned by myself with the help of my father a few days out of the week, my brother as manager/cashier, and online marketing and social media pages by my lovely wife.
Food is our passion.
We refuse to compromise on quality in our restaurant. That’s why we source our grade A skirt steak and other meats, plus fresh ingredients from local businesses in our neighborhood, which are also our dear friends. Our food is made with love, dedication, and filled with culture. Our customers mean so much to us and us to them.
