Belén Bailey is the founder and owner of Sweets by Belén, the first and only Peruvian and Latin-inspired dessert boutique in Houston. She traded the textbooks for a whisk after 15 years as a high school Spanish teacher in Louisiana and Texas to pursue her passion for baking.

As a self-taught baker and entrepreneur, Belén poured her passion and creativity into Sweets by Belén, creating a bakery that is a true reflection of her heart and soul. Her grandmother and mother treasured recipes are more than just instructions for creating delicious desserts; they’re a celebration to tradition, resilience, and the dreams of generations of strong women.
