The Story of Luliet
Nelia discovered her profound love of baking in the Pastry program learning under Chef Eddy Van Damme at HCC Culinary Arts for Baking and Pastry.
After operating a cottage bakery from her home for 5-6 years, Nelia’s dream of opening a storefront bakery became a reality when she opened Luliet Creamery and Bake Shop in October 2019. In preparation for the opening, she also attended the prestigious ice cream course at Penn State University where she learned how to make premium ice cream in house from milk to cone.
At Luliet our mission is to build community over dessert where *everyone* is welcome at the table. Nelia built Luliet to serve one-of-a-kind treats with bold flavors from the best ingredients – all made with love. At Luliet we believe in celebrating life and the special events that bring us together.
These values were brought to the forefront just a few months after opening when Covid hit. The community banded together and supported Luliet and other small businesses in the area through that difficult time.
