Welcome to our little home La Pupusa Urban Eatery. Founded by Juan Saravia and Stephanie. We were born in Los Angeles raised by our immigrant families .Tradition began in our homes with our grandmothers and hard working immigrant parents. Growing up in Los Angeles gave gifted us the beauty of growing up and experiencing different cultures and flavors that make up L.A. Sharing the love of our food started in the streets of El Salvador ,Sonsante to L.A STREETS in the 80s and 90s. From our abuela selling out of a cart and being a legend at EL LIBORIO.
While our traditional food was the center of our world growing up we still felt a void in the world, not seeing something that was representing of us, Salvi Americans THE NEXT GENERATION OF SALVIES. We wanted to see us and feel our L.A culture with our Salvadoran roots. Somewhere that highlighted all the outstanding flavors we grew up eating in Los Angeles and in our homes. After becoming parents we knew that we wanted to create that space and share our abuelitas love and our pride for our city. Keeping our ancestors traditions alive and making new traditions as Salvi Americans.
